Cool Cricket

At school a cricket instructor called Neil told us how to play cricket. First he gave us a warm up. The warm up was that we had to get into peers and pretty much played golf but with a cricket bat. After that we played speed cricket and the first team was the winner I find it really hard to give the other pesin the bat before the boler got us out. 

 I like when the ball came to me so I could catch is. Have you ever played cricket before? 

Fast And Furious on Water

 

In the my two week break me and my dad went on his jet ski at Kai Iwi Lakes. The Lake has fresh water which is good for the jet ski. When we got there we got on the jet ski and went to the motor camp across the river. We only went there for a little look but we did not get off the jet ski. When we got back I was aloud a drive. Then we went to a beach and had lunch. When we got back on the jet ski again  I drove around the lake (which sadly is not very far) and at one point we even had a race with another jet ski. Then we went back home. It was a very fun trip.

Mad Man Math

 

In Te Ngahere we have been doing some maths. I was learning how to estimate. I was working with my friends Zac and Zane. The thing I found hard was measuring the dinosaurs on the paper. I like that I was working with my friends. Do you like maths?

The Amazing Movie

In my class  my friends and I have been making a movie, it is about war. We thought that it was good but then, when we watched it, it was too hard for the audience to understand. I really liked doing this because it was funny. We were going to put bloopers at the end but it was too long. Did you like my movie?   

3 /2 /1 blast off

In my class we has been making rockets made out of two bottles with cardboard fins. We began with a 1.5 litre bottle.  We put the top of a another bottle on the top so it would be aerodynamic and the water will shot out of the bit that is a fill bottle. The fins are made out of cardboard and on the launchpad we had to click our rocket on. Then we pumped up the  air pressure and we launched.  For the first fly we put 60psi and 300ml and it went 14.3m and for the second one we put  60psi and 200ml and it went 9.7m. Next time we will have a parachute.         

The Great Gumboot

 On Thursday me and my school went on a treasure hunt. We did it on Gumboot Friday  to raise money for mental illnesses we had to pay two dollars to enter the treasure hunt.  in the treasure hunt we head to  find plastic gumboots with a number on them and whatever you got the number shows the Principal what prize you won. For the last two prizes we got clues and one was it is on the field we know it was on the Fielder it took forever to find it but then someone found it under a table and I do not nowe were the other one was.

Minion Art

 

At school I have been boing art .We got a photo and then we put little blocks on it. lots of people did animals and cars but I did Pikachu it took forever because we had to do little pieces and change the colour a lot and it was the hardest to do the mouth because I had to do a squiggly line. To Taipa

 

In the weekend I went to taipa to go to my little cousin Harpers house and she had one of her friends at her house. So we played hide and seek and two people were looking. after that we got tired so we watched youtube then we went home because it was getting darker by the minute. We had a look at the beach and we went home with one of their fish because they had a lot of them.    link to taipa

Super Movie

 In school I have been making a short film with my group Robert, Mahana, and Reminis. The movie is ready to go in to filming but we have to print out the script. The props are sticks that look like guns and flowers for bombs. We were behind but we caught up with the

Super cars

In the weekend me  Archie and my dad went to Auckland for a drift race. When we got to the Hotel we had 2 floos me and Archie had the upper floor and my dad got the bottom floor, then we went to the race. When we got there we acted like we were another family with strangers so we could get a family pass then dad paid for himself then we went to the pit to look at the cars. My dad is friends with one of the racers named Fanga Dan then he opened the bonnet so we could see the engine it was very big, Then we went to the race fanga didn’t win but he was in the top 10 I forgot the name of whoever won. The next day we went to a go kart arcade and laser tag  plus we went on the go karts it was the fastest lap wins. 

My dad code not come because he is not in our age group we got matched up with 2 girls. I 

got 27 seconds and Archie got 28 I came 1 he came 2 I don't remember how fast the girls got then we went to the laser tag if you got 2 kills you got rapid fire my dad could come on or round it was red team vs Green team we lost and we did not play golf.

South Island skiing

In the holidays me and my mum went to the South Island wen we got to the Airport we almost missed our flight but we just got on wen we got into our hotel we all we did was take a walk and go to the restaurant that bay. The net day we went skiing we got skinning lessons We learnt how to go forward and stop the next day we went skiing ourselves but I had ski that did not work because it had snow at the bottom of it so we got another pair and went to a plays call cookie bar it head cookie smores and milkshakes and for the last day we went on a gondola and when it's on the go-karts at the top but they had no engine but just brakes But we went down the hill then to go again you have to go on a little gondola that carried the go-karts. then we went to a place called game over which head motor go-karts and a small arcade then we went home the next day.

Super Rugby League

Yesterday me and my class played rugby

League. If you pass the ball six times then

you have to give the ball

to the other team but it was touch. First we

did warm ups like running around the field

and passing  then played the game we started

with the ball and ran out. The other team got

close to the goal but did not score. At the end

we all had no goals. It was fun to play.

Thought these weeks we have been working on some art,

The art was named pou pou art. I liked coloring my art but

the hardest part for

me was designing my mouth

for my art I kinda hadto start

over a few times

but what I s`aid in my

head was to keep trying

and don't give up. We Had

to use hot and cold colors

it was kinda hard for me to

think of colors that we go together

but is still a hot and cold color. I'm not an art

person but it’s like reading writing

and math you don’t have a choice.   

The story of Covid-19.

I am making a story about covid-19 but not the real story a made up

story. Here is what I have written.


The aliens want to take over Earth so they give us a virus and it will

kill everybody on the planet and then they can take over but Will

Smith will get into a rocket ship and get the anti-virus. The virus

starts in Canada and has taken over the USA but Will Smith is in a

rocket ship and is taking it to the aliens a lot of the people are

dead now but he makes it in time to save half of the population.

Hi my name is Joseph and I have been working on a trick shot with my friends
Archie, Ondreous, Pharrell and Thea. You  had to throw a ping pong ball into a
cup in the most creative way possible! 

Success Criteria
1. It must bounce off a surface

2. You must use cardboard

3. It has to take at least 3 seconds from
    start to finish

4. It must land in the cup

Then it went down, Thea held it from the bottom and Archie held it from the top and
Ondreous bounced the ball on a small yellow wall. Me and Pharrell watched, we got
it in three times without a camera. Our plan was to make a ramp and bounce it in the cup  
that it would bounce off the playground and then it rolled  on the cardboard and land in
the cup, but we did not think about it being 3 seconds. Have you done a trick shot before?

Life in level 4

Everyday me and my mum go to the Beach. I like to go on the rocks and jump over the water. Once I saw a stingray in the water. The next day we found out the person who lives there named him George. Sometimes we go into town all the way down to the roundabout. One day when we came back we decided to make a Lego house so far we have not completed it because we need more Lego.  Do you like making things with lego?

Today I drew a self-portrait. I took a photo of me and drew around it. Then I deleted the photo.  I made the lines thicker, this took a little bit of time. Then I gave it a background. It was fun.

In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to navigate our way through the  chromebooks. I have made this slide to share it with you. What I learnt was ctrl x it cuts words out and then you can put them back where you want them. I found it hard to find all the shortcuts and write them down. Next time I do something on the chromebook I will use  the short cuts.
